ABOUT ABOUT

Come out and join us for a morning of Canyon Restoration at Olivia (47th Street) Canyon! This event is hosted by San Diego Canyonlands in partnership with Friends of Olivia Canyon and Parks Project. This canyon is easy to find and our crew will be there at the entrance.

We will be restoring the canyon habitat from 9am - 12pm on Saturday August 17, 2019.
The crew will be split into three groups -- removing invasive species, clearing the trail, and removing trash from the canyon.

You bring: Closed-toe shoes, long pants, long sleeve shirt (recommended), refillable water bottle, work gloves if you have them.

We provide: Tools needed for the event, water, snacks, Parks Project swag for volunteers!

Parking: Street parking in the residential area. There is usually parking on Menlo and Thorn Street, but carpooling is highly recommended. If you park on Thorn Street, follow Thorn Street on foot to end of road to entrance of Olivia Canyon also known as 47th Street Canyon.

Please note: There are no bathrooms on site.

This event is organized by Field Crew Leader Candace (408-667-2791) & San Diego Canyonlands Outreach and Education Coordinator Kindra (503-330-1320).
